Wicom and Frings Datacom agree on cooperation
Both companies will continue to capture the German market with VoIP applications for call and contact centers.
The system vendor Frings Datacom GmbH and the Finnish developer of IP-based communications software, Wicom Communications, will co-operate in the German-speaking market. The companies are teaming up to offer Voice-over-IP-based multi-channel solutions for contact-centers, which enable a more cost-efficient and flexible customer service than hardware-based TDM solutions. With this partnership, both companies are expanding their already successful activities in the German-speaking VoIP market.
While the Communications Server Suite CSS 3.2 is provided by Wicom, Frings Datacom will make a significant contribution to sales, consulting, implementation, and offer comprehensive services. The partners will target medium-sized and large contact centers as well as customer services with distributed locations wanting to offer better service and more flexibility, increase use of the IP protocol and reduce costs. Frings and Wicom are also planning joint marketing activities to educate the market about the potentials of VoIP solutions.
'We have implemented VoIP systems for office telephony in more than 100 projects to date', said Christian Sohn, General Manager, Frings. 'Wicom is the perfect completion to our portfolio, offering high-level IP-based technology for professional contact centers.' Stephan Bahr, Regional Manager DACH, Wicom, added: 'With Frings Datacom, we have found an experienced and widely recognized partner with a strong customer base to continue opening up a market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.' Wicom has been present in Germany since the beginning of 2001.
The Wicom Communications Server Suite (CSS) is an open all-IP communications server architecture for unified queuing, prioritizing, and routing for all contacts. It includes the functionality of a traditional PBX telephony system and offers a clear migration path to centrally managed and administrated all-IP business communications.
