Garderos enables WLAN services to be billed via T-Pay
Munich-based WLAN specialist Garderos is one of the first companies to integrate the T-Pay Internet payment system from T-Com into its access and accounting software. Users at numerous WLAN hotspots can now also pay through their telephone bill, on a pay by call basis, with MicroMoney or by bank debit for wireless Internet access.
Garderos Software Innovations GmbH has created an interface of its access control software to the T-Pay payment system from T-Com, Deutsche Telekom's wireline division. Hotspot operators who use Garderos technology can offer their customers an additional, comfortable billing method now. In addition to vouchers, credit cards or SMS, end users can also pay for their WLAN usage through bank debits, MicroMoney or on a pay by call basis, T-Com customers can even have their usage charged to their telephone bill.
“WLAN is enjoying growing popularity, and we feel that T-Pay offers the easiest and most comfortable way to pay for WLAN usage at hotspots. That is why we welcome the integration of T-Pay into the software from Garderos, which is successfully being deployed at more and more hotspots,” says Kai Schlueter, Head of Product Marketing at T-Pay.
Hermann Knauer, Director Global Accounts, responsible for Deutsche Telekom at Garderos, explains: “With our software and T-Pay, payment at hotspots is now easier than ever before. Not only end users, but also operators benefit from this, because T-Pay is likely to become the most popular, nationwide payment system for small bills, thus making the use of hotspots even more attractive.” Garderos is thus once again living up to its philosophy of creating crucial advantages for everyone involved in WLAN business. Garderos CEO Hans Christensen adds: “The implementation of the new interface once again demonstrates how future-oriented our software is. We offer our customers billing methods that are not only secure, but flexible as well.”
